About us
The Bray Gospel Choir is a non-denominational group of singers with a passion for gospel and soul music. Our group was created in January 2009 by four friends, with various musical talents.
In 2010, The Bray Gospel Choir expanded to over 50 members and gained a new musical director. We worked with Mary Coughlan on a Charity gig for Umoza, joining her on ‘The Magdalene Laundries’. The summer brought the fantastic Bray Summerfest and the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of fans on Bray Seafront. In October, the choir joined Eurovision legends Niamh Kavanagh and Johnny Logan to support the ‘Lean on Me’ campaign on Grafton Street, Dublin.
2012 has already been a busy year for the choir with big charity events including the Methodist Church Fundraising night, hosted by the Methodist Church Bray, and the Umoza Challenge ( hosted by Jonathan Donnelly and Niall Donnelly) which had the Bray Gospel Choir sharing the stage with Sixteen Layers and Even Deeper.
